Internet of Things

Above is a video explaining the Internet of Things.

The "Internet of Things" is a termed coined for the phase where everyday objects have network connectivity, allowing them to interconnect and send/receive data.

It has aided and revolutionized the world, especially in the various industries such as healthcare, military, tourism (Disney theme parks) and more. This trend is slowly being adopted by the public for general everyday use.

A case study example would be how Apple is applying this technology and offering it to their consumers. In recent years they have developed their operating system of devices to support inter-connectivity between Iphone, Macbook, Ipad, Apple watch, Apple TV and other Apple devices, which can all be controlled with the Iphone at the center. In the latest IOS 10 update, they released a new Home Application. More details can be found here: http://www.iphonehacks.com/2016/09/use-new-home-app-ios-10.html

Which can be used to manage network capable facilities in the home, such as turning off/on the lights, fans; adjust the TV, shades; opening the doors and locks; and more.
